Mac Systems: Apple: Macintosh Server G4
The Macintosh Server G4 features PowerPC 74xx (G4) processors in the wonderfully easy-to-upgrade case design introduced with the Power Macintosh G3 (Blue). Each model in the Macintosh Server G4 series architecturally is identical to a model in the Power Macintosh G4 series, but the configurations are different and the servers shipped with pre-installed Apple server software. The Macintosh Server G4 series was quietly replaced by the Xserve.
